Developing portable bio-detection system on semiconductor nanowire biosensors with great sensitivities (up to 10^-18 mol/L) and great selectivity applicable to time-critical clinical diagnostics and environment amonitoring & remediation.

1. Oligo-nucleotides and clinical bio-marker protein detection technology based on quasi-one-dimensional semiconductor nanowire field-effect transistors (FETs).

2. Nano-Au core-shell composite structures for clinical diagnostics and remediation.
